Collaroy’s Alfresco Emporium store is well known by locals with an eye for unique and distinctive homewares. It wasn’t surprising then when
local interior designer Jason Sullivan, who is competing on Channel Nine’s new renovation program homeMADE, visited the store to source
products for a design challenge.
The task set to Jason was a makeover a main bedroom and living room at a home in Dee Why. Jason called on Alfresco Emporium to find
statement furniture and decorator pieces that would enable him to realise his vision for the transformation and help him stay in the game.
Jason said, "I was so excited to be renovating a house for the show on the northern beaches because I was able to source so many different
items from my favourite store Alfresco Emporium."
Jason chose a blue, green and white palette. Stand-out, impact items like a pineapple table lamp and ravello cushion added life, depth and colour to the interior.
Former international model Jason hopes to draw on his experience living in some of the style capitals of the world in his bid to win the homeMADE
competition. When explaining his design aesthetic Jason says, “I believe the home should be the sanctuary. I don't like modern. It's stark and not
homely. I like my clients to be comfortable. This is why I’m drawn to the warm, signature pieces at Alfresco."
