As dawn breaks for 2017 we have been inspired to create a holiday feel with our tropical window displays and home interiors. Our latest collection of all things Bahamas has a traditional feel yet still maintains a modern, crisp edge. Inspiration from Lord Mountbatton's granddaughter, and designer India Hicks and her abode in Harbour Island has helped us create a collection which is easy to live with and enjoy for many years to come. You will feel like you are on a holiday when you step inside and relax in this Bahamas inspired space.

Creating this plantation feel in your home is simple if you stick to a few simple tricks and build from there. A colour palette of dark timber and white is the first step. Yes you can mix other timbers, however the crispness that you get from contrasting dark and stark colours is an authentic replication of the Bahamas style.

Our beautiful new Bermuda collection of rattan furniture, with its white upholstered cushions and refined weave, is the perfect starting point for your casual, relaxed room. The collection includes a coffee table, side tables, lounges, occasional chairs and soon to be added bookcase.

Set the dark stain of your furniture on a backdrop of all white walls and then start adding all the character. Palm fronds, or whole palm plants, orchids and hibiscus flowers are all a part of creating your desired effect. They will also freshen up the space and really bring it to life whilst adding colour. Decorate with as many shells and coral as you can get your hands on. The more the merrier. There is nothing more perfect than shells to create a tropical, Bahamas vibe.

We have also been busy creating a range of Harbour Island inspired brass homewares. The collection features palm and pineapple designs and starting with the gorgeous door knocker is the perfect way to set the tone for your home. The collection also has a stand out trophy, which looks great filled with cricket balls, palm leaves or used as an ice bucket. Finally think about the cushions you are going to accent your chairs and sofa with. Hand made will always add class and with our new hand painted linen cushions with pineapple and palm tree designs you are sure to have something unique and special to finish off your tropical Bahamas inspired room.
